Minting is how a piece first comes out. After that, pieces move between collectors on KURV’s market. Here’s how buying and selling works, without the jargon. You can try all of it on testnet, at testnet.kurv.fun, where coins are free and nothing has value.
Finding things: Explore
Explore is where you browse collections. Anyone can look around without logging in. Filters help you narrow it down.
Buying a listed piece
When a holder wants to sell, they list the piece at a price. If you like it and the price works for you, you buy it. You log in and confirm once, and on testnet the network fee is covered.
Before you confirm, read the amount on screen. If something looks wrong, stop.
Making an offer
Not every piece you like is listed. You can make an offer on a specific piece, saying what you’d pay. The holder can accept it or ignore it.
Collection offers
A collection offer is an offer on any piece from a collection, not one in particular. Useful when you just want in and don’t care which number you get. Any holder of that collection can accept it.
Buying from the Vault
Every collection launched on KURV has its own Vault. When holders sell pieces back to it, those pieces sit in the Vault’s inventory, and the Vault can sell them again. So sometimes you can buy a piece straight from the Vault, not from another person. The full explainer is The Vault, explained simply.
Selling yours
As a holder, you have three ways out:
- List it at a price and wait for a buyer
- Accept an offer someone made
- Sell it back to the Vault at that moment’s Vault Exit, whenever the Vault holds money
The Vault Exit and the Market Floor are different numbers, and neither is a promise. A Vault can hold $0.
The fee: just the royalty
On a sale between collectors on KURV, the whole fee is the collection’s royalty. There’s no extra marketplace fee on top.
The creator sets the royalty between 5% and 10% when the collection is made, and it’s split three ways:
- 50% to the creator
- 25% to KURV
- 25% stays in the collection’s Vault
So every trade on KURV also adds a bit to that collection’s Vault.
Bringing a collection from Base
There’s also Bring a collection: an existing collection from Base can be brought onto KURV’s market. One difference to know: a brought-over collection doesn’t have a Vault. No sell-backs, no Vault inventory.
Quick recap
- Browse on Explore, with filters

- The royalty (5 to 10%, split 50/25/25) is the whole fee
- Brought-over collections don’t have a Vault
Nothing here is financial advice. Every price and buyer is up to the market.
